Are Vintage and Antique items of jewellery a good investment?
Yes, absolutely, just like when buying a new car you pay the new price, the same scenario when you buy new jewellery, unfortunately the price drops as soon as you buy and wear it, why? because it is no longer new.
With Antique and Vintage Jewellery the price is already for a pre-owned used item so its purchase value basically remains the same.
The other saving is Antique and Vintage Jewellery is VAT exempt so you are already paying 20% less!

How do we test our Gemstones?  
We test our Gemstones with a Gem Refractometer and our Presidium Duo Gem Tester.
To assess the weight of a Gemstone if it’s not stamped inside the item we use a Presidium Gem Computer Gauge that measures the gemstone and gives us an estimated carat weight.
All of our gemstones testing and weight estimating is done while the gemstones are mounted, it would destroy the integrity of the jewellery and devalue the item to have the gemstone removed for the carat weight, we try to be as honest and as accurate as possible.
Any gemstones that we have any doubts about we send to our Gemologist for verification.

How do we know the purity of the precious metal?
We make sure that there is a stamp on the item, for example an Assay Office Hallmark,  on Gold a stamp with 8ct or 333, 9ct or 375, 18ct or 750.
Platinum an Assay Office Hallmark or PT or 900 or 950.
Silver an Assay Office Hallmark, or 800 (continental silver) or Lion Passant, 925 (sterling silver) or  958 (britannia silver).
If no marks visible we will have the item Assayed at the Birmingham Assay Office who will apply a Laser hallmark to the item.

Do you offer Layaways?
Sorry we don’t offer Layaways.  

Do you offer credit?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer a credit facility interest free or otherwise, but at the checkout select PayPal or Klarna who offer payment plans of buy now pay later.
